Anne-Margaretha is back!

What an unforgettable summer!
After nearly sold out trips to the north, the trip home from Tromsø, Norway took a slightly different route – a first for our ship! The Anne-Margaretha, with an English crew at the helm, sailed with a wonderful breeze at high speed to Jan Mayen, a small island north of Iceland, usually inaccessible due to weather conditions …. She then crossed over to the east coast of Greenland where the group visited a deep fjord that normally would have been impassible due to ice.
After Iceland and Scotland, and delighted by the beautiful journey, all came back on September 4 to the locks of IJmuiden!

Race of the Classics for Young Professionals

This year we will have a party on board of a group of young people (most in their thirties) from the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment.
Tuesday, October 11, the group boards in the old Veerhaven in Rotterdam and will launch on Wednesday to …??? The plan is to sail to England (Ramsgate?), but with unfavorable winds, our first leg might be to Belgium or Scheveningen (.!. 2015 ) From there, we are off on a nice route with the other tall ships, including the square-rigged.
Friday, 14 October, the fleet of about 23 vessels will arrive in IJmuiden. Saturday they travel to Amsterdam, where there will be an awards ceremony, and a closing party.
Sunday, October 16, the ships leave for their home harbors.

Winter Maintenance: Painting and Varnishing the Ship’s Interior

This winter we will finally tackle the ship’s paint work. We will be happy to welcome enthusiastic helpers! Many hands make for light work…
Call or email with your volunteer times. Coffee / tea and cake await you!

2017-2018 Season

We’ve planned two great seasons. The 2017-2018 program has long been on the site and the bookings are steadily coming in. The trips to Antarctica, the Chilean coast, and the leg from Galapagos Islands to Cuba are in high demand. On most trips we have still availablities (except for the 2nd Antarctic trip and the Patagonia trip). If you are really keen on a certain route, do not hesitate to book, for spaces are going fast!

Informational Afternoon in Haarlem

In the early spring of 2017 ( February?), we will hold an informational meeting in Haarlem about our trips (+ film + photos + photo books). If you have already booked a trip, this is a great opportunity to meet (some of) your travel companions and feel the on board ambiance. It’s also an excellent time to ask questions.
Stay tuned for the exact date.

We wish everyone a beautiful and colorful autumn!

Greet and Heinz
