The Anne-Margaretha is again in her home berth in Spaarndam (near Haarlem), recouping after a long, wonderful trip!
On August 2nd she sailed through the locks of IJmuiden (NL), awaited by her true local fans and crewmembers after a year’s adventure sailing from Europe to Antarctica via South America and then back home again island-hopping along the coast of Africa and Europe.
In the Netherlands again, the captain happily met his new-born granddaughter… , and could finally be with his loved ones. Everyone reminisced and looked back on a successful voyage!
We have overhauled the Anne-Margaretha for its required inspections and, she is in ship-shape! In October we will participate in the Race of the Classics for Young Professionals ….
Next year we’ll sail again to the north along the Norwegian coast, the Lofoten and then on to Spitsbergen.
