P1. Haarlem IJmuiden-Bergen Norway 15-25 April 2017 (about 500 miles)
We start the year 2017 with a combined trip: from Haarlem/Spaarndam we’ll sail in about 3 days of non-stop sailing across the North Sea to Norway and then are we sailing a week in between the Norweigian islands (day trips)and fjords en route to Bergen.
The first destination is Stavanger, a nice harbor with a lovely old port, which we look forward to visiting.
From Stavanger we sail to the Lysefjord, where we moor along the Prekestulen, a rocky massif, approximately 600 m high.
We climb up along small paths to enjoy this spectacular view! (A bit of fitness is required for the climb ..!)
We spend the night here and continue our trip to Haugesund. Again we will find a place to moor for the night.
The next day we sail to the impressive Hardanger Fjord and we moor in the picturesque village of Sundal. Here we take a beautiful walk.
Finally, we continue our journey to Bergen, where we’ll arrive in the evening of April 24 or the following morning, April 25.
